Translake 520 Committee
Chaired by Pegeen Shean

The Translake SR520 Committee deals with issues regarding SR520 and WSDOT's plans for expanding and building a new SR520 bridge and how these plans will affect the North Capitol Hill Neighborhood.

The Local Impact Committee

Representatives: Nancy Brainard, Pegeen Shean and David Thorne

In 2004 WSDOT and the City of Seattle agreed to fund a task force of community representatives (Local Impact Committee) to study the impacts of the expansion of SR 520.

The LIC is made of two members from Portage Bay/Roanoke Park Community Council, Montlake Community Council, and the North Capitol Neighborhood Association, and one representative of the Eastlake Community Council, along with WSDOT, SDOT, TranspoGroup, Makers Architectural Group, and KPFF consulting engineers.

This group meets every two weeks, the1st and 3rd Thursday at Queens City Yacht Club. The neighborhood is welcome to join us. The Group also brings important information to the NCHNA meeting.

This group is no longer meeting because we have now enter into mediation with all neighborhoods, WSDOT, and the governor's office. Information presented here is still relevant.
