The North Capitol Hill Neighborhood Association (NCHNA) is an association of residents of the North Capitol Hill area (here is a map) of Seattle. Our mission is to provide a public forum on neighborhood issues, to identify and assess neighborhood needs, to inform and advise residents in matters that affect their rights and responsibilities, to suggest courses of action when appropriate and to communicate in the interest of the community with government and other entities. Issues Concerning Our Neighborhood
Seattle Prep Prep is no longer mailing out a schedule of events to students or the neighborhood. They are now using their website calendar for this information. Please use this handy link Seattle Prep Event Calendar
Bertschi School
Contact the main office if you have a parking problems.
*Please Remember, both our area schools are our neighbors, and while everyone knows it's frustrating when your driveway is blocked, please be respectful when contacting the schools. They do want to help! Please use News/Bulletin Board to post message to the neighborhood, such as garage sales, lost pets, neighborhood meetings and concerns. Sound Transit information regarding the light rail project and the underground Capitol Hill Station that will be built just east of Broadway Avenue and south of East John Street, beneath Nagle Place and adjoining property. This station will serve the densely populated neighborhood and the Broadway business district, as well as Seattle Community College, Group Health Medical Center and other nearby employers. Locating the station east of Broadway and west of Cal Anderson Park reduces construction disruptions in the Broadway business district and the recently developed park. Coyote alert—Please be aware coyotes are sometimes seen in the green spaces near Boston Terrace. Pets may be in danger The Department of Transportation is planning to expand SR 520 and revising the current entrance and exit ramps for both SR 520 and I-5. We have two representatives who keep us updated on this project. This project will have a serious impact on our neighborhood. SR 520 Project
