The North Capitol Hill Neighborhood Association (NCHNA) is an association of residents of the North Capitol Hill area (here is a map) of Seattle. Our mission is to provide a public forum on neighborhood issues, to identify and assess neighborhood needs, to inform and advise residents in matters that affect their rights and responsibilities, to suggest courses of action when appropriate and to communicate in the interest of the community with government and other entities.

Seattle Prep has nearly completed its second building project, a new theatre complex. The design plan shows a facility with a 350-seat capacity, plus several other amenities.

Prep is no longer mailing out a schedule of events to students or the neighborhood. They are now using their website calendar for this information. Please use this handy link Seattle Prep Event Calendar.

Bertschi School  is pleased to announce that they have completed their construction projects. Kudos, job well done! Bertschi Event Calendar

The Department of Transportation is planning to expand SR 520 and revising the current entrance and exit ramps for both SR 520 and I-5. We have two representatives who attend the Local Impact Committee (LIC) and keep us updated on this project. This project will have a serious impact on our neighborhood. SR 520 Project

Sound Transit information regarding the light rail project and the underground Capitol Hill Station that will be built just east of Broadway Avenue and south of East John Street, beneath Nagle Place and adjoining property.  This station will serve the densely populated neighborhood and the Broadway business district, as well as Seattle Community College, Group Health Medical Center and other nearby employers.  Locating the station east of Broadway and west of Cal Anderson Park reduces construction disruptions in the Broadway business district and the recently developed park.
